15 best outdoor spots to practice yoga

If you love practicing your yoga in the open air then you should add a few spots to your yoga routine that are specifically outdoor. Many people get away from practicing yoga in the privacy of their own home and in the summer months it is very nice to get outside and practice yoga in the fresh air. There are many different types of yoga that can be practiced in the fresh air but for this article I am only going to name a couple. If you have never tried any type of yoga before you might want to try some of the outdoor ones first, they might just open up your experience to new levels. Here are my 15 best outdoor spots to practice yoga.

A park in most areas will usually be free for yoga practice, and most parks also have pretty good decorating to go along with their beautiful nature. In the park you will likely find a flower garden or two where you can sit and practice your yoga. Try not to be intimidated by the size of the park, there are many parks that are small enough to have a garden or even a basketball court. The great outdoors is all about setting up a space that allows you to get away from all of the distractions and just focus on yourself. If you are looking for a quiet place to practice yoga then a park is a great place to start.

Another great spot to practice yoga in the great outdoors is a hike in a national park. Hiking can be an extremely calming way to connect with the outdoors and connect with nature. If hiking you can dress up or just be comfortable walking around with nothing in your way. If you have never done much hiking before you might want to hire a hiking guide to show you how to do it. If you have never been hiking then this would be a great place for you to start with your yoga practice.

Another great outdoor yoga practice spot is a boat tour. There are many places you can go on a boat tour in the United States that offer you a great scenic view of the country and give you the chance to practice your yoga at the same time. Take a look at your favorite national parks and see if they offer a day or two where you can practice yoga while you are on vacation. If you have never been on a boat tour to practice yoga than it would be a great place for you to learn about this type of exercise and try it out on your own.

One great way to practice yoga in the great outdoors is in an ever-changing natural environment. There are a number of yoga retreats that you can choose to go to get away from the stressful of your every day life for a few days. These retreats will provide you with all of the relaxation and stretching that you need to truly unwind and enjoy yoga. Yoga retreats are wonderful because you don't have to come back to society to practice yoga. You can truly have the experience and find your own peace in the midst of nature.

These are just a few of the many places you can find yoga practice outdoors. If you are looking to find a new way to relax and get in tune with nature then yoga should be on top of your list of places to visit. It is a form of meditation in an outdoor setting and it will bring you closer to the nature that surrounds you every day. Try yoga today and you will soon discover how much it will benefit you.
